Fixations in modeling
If you’re in show business, you’ve no doubt heard of beauty models, hair models, underwear models and bikini models. The variety of models and their specialization is endless and growing everyday. If you’re not in show business you probably still know what were talking about, there exists models for just about everything.
Try not to fixate too much on your specialization and don’t pay any attention to the anorexic New York models as that is a different domain altogether and one where you don’t want to put yourself.
Diet and nutrition
The specialization of fitness models is one that requires a lot more work than some of the other types of models. Not only do you have to live by a sworn diet made up of high protein and medium to low fat foods, but also maintain a rigorous exercise routine.
Diets are made up of high protein foods like chicken breast and tuna. Low carb sides like salad would make up your side dish at dinner. Alcoholic beverages are severely limited. Though like any diet, it affords you a day of the week to eat pretty much anything.
Some girls are vegan's, meaning they eat vegatable only and this works well also. This means they do not eat any meat and instead they get protein from things like soy.
Exercise
Exercise is the main part of what separates a bikini model from a fitness model. The general rule is 4 to 5 days of exercising each and every week all year round for some girls. Usually starting with cardio in the morning and moving right on into the mid day or afternoon with weight training exercises.
Some fitness models are more vigorous than others and go to extremes. It’s not that uncommon to have cardio followed by weight training in the morning and then more weight training later in the evening on two or three of the days each week for models that are vigorous in their ways.
Tips for fitness models
- Motivate yourself by watching TV as you workout.
- Get a routine made up from a personal trainer.
- Follow the routine is the key, no matter what.
- Not 2 days per week, but four or five (2 is fine for starters, work your way up).
